Following the landmark verdict in the 2017 actor assault case, all six convicts, including the prime accused Pulsar Suni, have been shifted to the Viyyur Central Jail in Thrissur to begin their sentences. The Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court sentenced the group to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment on December 12, 2025, after finding them guilty of gang rape and criminal conspiracy. The convicts—Sunil N.S., Martin Antony, B. Manikandan, Vijesh V.P., H. Salim, and Pradeep—were also ordered to pay a fine for their crimes. Viyyur Central Jail, known for its high-security wings, has made special arrangements to house the high-profile prisoners. While the convicts face two decades behind bars, the legal battle continues as the state government prepares to appeal the acquittal of actor Dileep.
